Police officer accused of murder of two women kills himself

Mlungisi Sikhakhane was found dead in his cell where he was set to appear at the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court.

THE police officer who was accused of killing two women in KwaNyuswa was found dead while he was in custody in Westville Prison. This was confirmed by the Department of Correctional Services saying Mlungisi Sikhakhane took his life.

Sikhakhane was due to appear at the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court on January 19 for bail application after he had abandoned bail last month. He was charged with two counts of murder after the two women, Njabulenhle Majozi, and Sthembile Ngobese, were found dead in his place in KwaNyuswa.
