Volunteer needed to co-ordinate the Indigenous Open Gardens
The popular garden show is set to take place earlier than usual – it will be held the weekend of March 25/26.
THE planning for the Kloof Conservancy Indigenous Open Gardens is well underway, and the organisation has secured some outstanding gardens for the show which is set to take place on the weekend of March 25/26.
“We have selected a late summer weekend as a change from recent years when we featured mainly winter gardens. As usual, we also hope to include other environmental organisations which have similar goals to ours so that we can maximise the impact we make,” said chairman Paolo Candotti.

Candotti said they will be announcing the final gardens in mid-January, but they are certain that people will enjoy them and the extra features planned for the show.
“Brigid Turner was our garden co-ordinator for the show for many years, but she is moving out of the area, so we need a volunteer to ‘pick up the ball’.
“The task involves co-ordinating the arrangements with garden owners and generally ensuring all goes to plan. There is support from other volunteers, but we do need a co-ordinator,” said Candotti.
