WATCH: Thrilled Oxford shopper drives away in a brand new car

The 37-year-old Bluff resident was the lucky winner of the Chery Tiggo Pro 4.

THE BLUFF resident Nqobile Ngcobo drove off in a brand new car at the Oxford Car giveaway.

Ten excited finalists gathered at the store in Hillcrest for the lucky draw on Saturday, January 21. The finalists were chosen from the slips from Oxford Freshmarket Bluff and Hillcrest and were invited to participate in the draw.

Ngcobo, who was the last one to arrive, was shocked and excited when her slip was the one that could start the car.

“I did not expect it; I am so thrilled. I did not think I was going to make it on time; I got so lost coming here. I now have my own car as I shared a car with my husband before,” she said.

The other finalists received Oxford vouchers and hampers.

A few lucky shoppers also won themselves R250 vouchers.

Creative and marketing director Patrick Hyland congratulated all the finalists and thanked all the sponsors who made the day a success.

Sanelisiwe Tsinde

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
