Formally, the session was a special general meeting and recruitment drive. All existing members were invited to bring along a non-member ‘tourism’ business representative to attend, in order for the board to explain the advantages and benefits of joining the 1000 Hills Community Tourism Organisation (CTO).

The launch was attended by 50 local tourism operators, businesses and active members of the 1000 Hills CTO who got together for an info-sharing and networking session.

Marc Skada, October Sun Digital, and Carl de Heer, On Show Media and 1000 Hills CTO board member.

The Info Kiosk has a screen showing the CTO’s award-winning promotional videos, and members are invited to add their promotional videos.

There is also a brochure stand featuring the 1000 Hills Tourism Visitor’s Guide which promotes activities in the area, including the Umgeni Steam Railway, the Mushroom Farm, the Shongweni Market, PheZulu, Woza Moya, High Stakes and other fabulous attractions, as well as places to stay, places to eat, outdoor and adventure options and tour guides offering various speciality tours.

All CTO members are invited to bring and display their brochures at this popular and visible site.
