A MAN in his fifties is in critical condition after his luxury vehicle somehow lost control and overturned numerous times on the M19, which connects Pinetown to Springfield, near Reservoir Hills around 17:00 on Sunday afternoon.
ALS Paramedics reported that they arrived on scene to find the badly damaged vehicle in the roadway. Spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said paramedics found the driver and only occupant of the vehicle in critical condition.
“The injured man was stabilised on scene by Advanced Life Support Paramedics before being rushed to Ahmed Al Khadi Private Hospital where a specialist trauma team were awaiting his arrival,” he said.

The cause of the accident is unknown, however, SAPS were on scene and will be investigating further.
ALS paramedics further cautioned drivers to drive safely in the current rainy weather, saying they have already attended to multiple accidents this morning.
“There are many roads that are currently water-locked. We would like to urge you to leave a little early so you can reach your destination in time. We are seeing that a lot of collisions are involving speed, so we are asking people to lower their speed – traffic is severely congested,” said Garrith.
