JUST IN: One dead, another seriously injured on the N3

It is believed that mechanics were fixing a truck which had broken down when another truck driver lost control.

ONE person has been killed on the N3 this afternoon, (Friday, June 9) just before the Mariannhill Toll Plaza, Durban bound.

ALS Paramedics spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson said it is believed a truck broke down in an arrester bed and was being attended to by mechanics when another truck driver lost control of the truck and ploughed through the mechanics.

“At this stage one person has been declared dead and another is seriously injured, he is being stabilised by Life Advanced Paramedics at the scene before being transported to hospital,” said Jamieson.
