Highway resident needs help finding lost army medal

The medal is of great sentimental value to Graeme Fuller as it was awarded to his great-grandfather for service in the 9th Frontier War.

A HIGHWAY resident is appealing for help in finding a medal that is of great sentimental value to him.

Graeme Fuller, who is a key member of various cultural, military and community organisations, lost a medal from his jacket in Pinetown on the weekend while attending an Armistice Day service.

“I would greatly appreciate feedback about a medal that fell off my jacket at the Wayside Cross parade on Sunday. It is a single medal, South Africa General Service, with a 1878 Clasp awarded to my great-grandfather WH Fuller for service in the 9th Frontier War.

“I pinned it on before leaving home, and it was missing later. If anyone has found it, I would really like it back, please!” said Fuller.

Anyone who might have found it can contact Fuller on 082 659 5213.

Sanelisiwe Tsinde

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
