UPDATE: Pinetown police search for man accused of killing his wife

The man allegedly shot his wife several times before fleeing the scene on foot.

A MANHUNT is underway for a man suspected of killing his wife in Padfield Park, Pinetown, earlier today (January 3).

Pinetown SAPS communications officer Jennifer Naidu said that according to reports, an argument ensued between the husband and wife.

“The husband allegedly shot the wife several times in the upper body. She died on scene,” said Naidu.

The communications officer said the man, who is a member of the South African National Defence Force, fled the scene on foot.

Anyone with information that could lead to the man’s arrest is urged to contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
