“Paramedics arrived on the scene to find carnage as they found that the driver of the vehicle carrying four security officers had somehow lost control and rolled down an embankment.

“The scene was quickly assessed, and paramedics found that, unfortunately, the driver, a male believed to be in his thirties, had sustained multiple injuries, and he showed no signs of life. He was declared deceased on the scene,” said Jamieson.

He reported that three other occupants sustained serious injuries and were stabilised on the scene by ALS Paramedics before being transported to a nearby hospital.

The cause of the accident is unknown at this stage.
