Sheldon Leask, JAG Security operations manager; Sergeant Siboniso Shezi, Pinetown SAPS; Warrant Officer Slindile Xulu, Pinetown SAPS; Rose Govender, Wyebank Secondary School Principal, and CPF chairperson Barry Bayens, Wyebank CPF, with some of the items recovered at a school.
PINETOWN SAPS, metro police, JAG Security and other role-players were called in to assist police with a raid on various local schools.
The raid was planned to search for weapons and narcotics.
“The members worked together to cover all areas of the schools, ensuring that no gaps were left. Some learners were caught smoking and not attending class. Other things were discovered on the school grounds, included laptops and gaming equipment, as well as cellphones on learners. All goods were confiscated and turned over to the school principal,” said Sheldon Leask from JAG Security.
My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
