Free rabies shot from state vet

Check out the free rabies vaccination dates for Westville, Pinetown, Wyebank and New Germany.

THE Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will be in Westville, Kloof, Wyebank and New Germany to administer rabies vaccinations. The campaign will take place on May 20 and 21.

In this rabies vaccination programme, pet owners are encouraged to vaccinate their cats and dogs against the viral infection, which can be fatal.

Monday, May 20 – Westville
08:30 – 10:00: Westville North Library – corner Iver and Blair Atholl roads, lower parking lot.
10:30 – 12:00: Westville Civic Centre off Buckingham Road, parking lot near the recycle bins.
12:30 – 14:00: Dawncliffe – open space next to Westville Athletics Club – corner of Syringa Avenue and Maryvale Road.

Tuesday, May 21– Kloof, Wyebank and New Germany
08:30 – 9:30: Municipal parking lot on Sailor Road – off Marievale Drive, Kloof/Wyebank.
10:00 – 11:00: Open space (postbox clusters) Daisy Lane off Orchid Avenue – Wyebank.
11:30 – 13:30: New Germany Community Centre, open space on Harvey Road, off East Street.
