IN PICS: Biggest little show draws crowds

The World of Miniatures Fair recently took place, offering scale models, fairy gardens, fairy houses, model trains, bonsai and dollhouses.

HOSTED by The Durban Association of Miniature Enthusiasts (DAME), the World of Miniatures Fair, which is the biggest little show in the province, was again a hit for Durban residents.

It offered scale models, fairy gardens, fairy houses, model trains, bonsai and dollhouses.

One lucky person walked away with a beautiful florist shop which was made by a new member, with all the other members contributing flowers, vases, buckets, macrame and gifts to fill their shop to capacity.

One of the organisers of the fair and DAME member, Priscilla Kleyntjens, said the show was very well-attended, and stallholders were happy with the support from the public.

She added that they have 33 members and welcome visitors to join and get totally addicted to their hobby.

Sanelisiwe Tsinde

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
