Kyle, Mallory and Jake Taskes and Brigitte Ferguson have fun at the annual challenge.
IN its 10th year, brave participants were ‘locked up’ in the kennels at the SPCA for the annual Kloof and Highway SPCA Dog Box Challenge from noon on Friday, May 24, until noon on Saturday, May 25.
The annual event is held in an effort to help raise funds for the SPCA. The funds raised are used in the Kloof and Highway SPCA’s ongoing fight for the prevention of cruelty to all animals.
On the evening of May 24, members of the public came to show their support for the inmates and to take part in the festivities, which included music and dancing.

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
