Combined school sweep focuses on learner safety

The operation held at Pinetown Girls' High School was a joint effort between Pinetown SAPS, Visible Policing, SAPS K9, metro, and private security companies.

A JOINT operation was conducted at Pinetown Girls’ High School on Monday, targeting narcotics and illegal items.

The operation was a collaborative effort between Pinetown SAPS, Visible Policing, SAPS K9, metro, and private security companies, who provided additional manpower to support the initiative.

“During the operation, cellular phones that were not stored in designated lockers were confiscated, along with multiple forms of non-prescribed medication.

“The operation aimed to address concerns related to illegal substances and to ensure a safe learning environment for students. The success of this joint operation demonstrates the effectiveness of collaboration between law enforcement agencies and private security companies in addressing community concerns.

“We appreciate the support and cooperation of all parties involved,” said Sheldon Leask from JAG Security.

He thanked everyone who was involved in the operation.
