M65 Highway lane closure to affect N2 airport route

A lane on M65 Highway will be undergoing maintainance for a month affecting the N2 King Shaka Airport route. The lane closure will start on Friday, November 8, motorists are being warned of possible delays.

MOTORISTS using the N2 to King Shaka International Airport (KISA) are being warned of possible delays following the closure of a lane on the M65 Highway for a month, effective from Friday, November 8.

The spokesperson for the Dube TradePort Corporation, Vincent Zwane, said the lane closure is due to required maintenance work along the M65 Highway. The Dube TradePort Corporation and the Airports Company of South Africa have urged those travelling to KSIA to make allowance for extra time.

He said, “The lane will be closed for one month, starting from Friday, November 8. Please allow for potential delays in your travel time if you are using the N2 to access King Shaka International Airport. Alternative access to King Shaka International Airport is available via R102 and Watson Highway (Ushukela).”
