JUST IN: M19 closed towards Pinetown after truck overturns

Two occupants of the truck sustained injuries and are being treated by paramedics.

MOTORISTS have been urged to avoid the M19 towards Pinetown as it has been closed following a truck accident.

ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said paramedics have responded to the scene on the M19 Pinetown bound just before Rodger Sishi Road where a truck has overturned, losing all its load.

The road has since been closed as the truck load has been strewn across the freeway

“All vehicles are being turned around as they cannot drive through it.”

Jamieson has advised motorists to avoid the area at all cost as the recovery will take some time.

“Paramedics are currently attending to two truck occupants who have been injured.”

Jamieson advised to drive with caution in this wet weather as they have responded to a few accidents.

My name is Sanelisiwe Tsinde, and I'm a mother of two boys and very family-oriented. Being a community journalist for years, I can proudly say I love writing about positive community news articles and giving a voice to the voiceless. Seeing people getting assistance warms my heart. Every day is a different challenge and a new learning opportunity. I supply news for our trusted publication weekly, and a few years ago, Caxton ventured into online publication, so I contribute daily to the websites. I could say I am a multimedia journalist, and working in a community newspaper is beneficial as we do not focus on one thing but we do a bit of everything.
