Christmas party for child abuse and sexual offences survivors
The NPA's Boni Mthethwa said the morning was for the survivors to put behind them the experiences they endured throughout the year and celebrate Christmas.
SURVIVORS of child abuse and sexual offences were treated to a morning of Christmas carols, traditional dance, and other treats at a party which is held annually for them.
Welcoming guests at the Christmas party at Pinetown Senior Primary on Thursday, December 11, the National Prosecuting Authority’s (NPA) in court preparation officer at the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court, Boni Mthethwa, said the morning was for the survivors to put behind them the experiences they endured throughout the year and celebrate in the moment.
“This morning is not about thinking about what happened, about testifying in court, but about celebrating Christmas,” said Mthethwa.
