Back to School for Lyndhurst Primary

Lyndhurst Primary School welcomed learners with excited smiles and a strong message of partnership for a successful 2026 school year.

LYNDHURST Primary School staff welcomed back learners and embraced first-timers on opening day today (January 14), with smiles of excitement seen across the yard and cries of nervousness heard throughout.

SGB chair Mthandeni Phakathi and school principal Thobile Nxumalo ready to welcome back learners.

The chairperson of the school’s governing body (SGB), Mthandeni Phakathi, said it was a thrill to witness learners and staff return and wished them all a “blessed and fruitful year”.

Parent Nhlanhla Mzimela with her son Nkazimulo Ndlovu who is in Grade R, along with school principal Thobile Nxumalo.

“As our motto states, ‘I Will Build’, let us all partner together to ensure a safe, successful and nurturing year of excellence for every child,” said Phakathi.

Parents Sindiswa Mphesheya and Londiwe Masondo, along with grandmother Nomusa Mphesheya (back), send off their children Okuhle Mphesheya (Grade 4) and Kiano Bersman (Grade 5).
