Thomas More matriculant motivates class of ‘26

With a bachelor pass, Ntando Zuma has set her sights on studying BCom in Economics with Law at UCT.

STRAIGHT-A Thomas More College matriculant Ntando Zuma has motivated the class of 2026 to stay focused on their school work in order to achieve their goals.

“Anything is attainable if you focus, manage your time and find a balance between your school work and social life,” said an elated Ntando.

With a bachelor pass and obtaining 97% for Accounting; 93% for Business Studies; 91% for English; 83% for History; 92% for Life Orientation; 92% for Core Mathematics; and 92% for isiZulu, Ntando has set her sights on studying BCom in Economics with Law.

“I have an interest in the two subjects and I am passionate about law, I am drawn to law as a career,” said Ntando who heads to the University of Cape Town (UCT).

Ntando is one of the IEB Class of 2025 who received their results on Monday, January 12.

The Department of Basic Education said this group achieved a 98.3% pass rate across the country.

Ntando’s parents, Njabulo and Philisi, expressed their gratitude and joy as they celebrated their daughter’s outstanding matric results.

“We have watched her work tirelessly, push through challenges, and remain focused even when the journey was not easy.

“Ntando’s level of discipline and commitment is commendable. Seeing her achieve this milestone has brought us great joy. She has made us prouder than words can fully express.

“Her future shines brightly, and we look forward to every step she will take,” said the proud parents.
