Vehicle stolen from dealership in Pinetown recovered
Police recovered a vehicle allegedly stolen from a Pinetown dealership in Newlands following swift response by the South Highway Patrol.
A vehicle which was allegedly stolen from a dealership in Pinetown was recovered in Newlands.
The Durban Metro Police said on Friday, February 27, that their members of the South Highway Patrol recovered the white Kia truck in Newlands.

“The vehicle was positively identified and processed accordingly,” said the Metro Police.
Members were applauded for their swift response and vigilance which resulted in the vehicle being successfully recovered.
The communications officer at the Pinetown SAPS, Jennifer Naidu, confirmed that the vehicle was recovered at around 10:15 on Friday, February 27, in Newlands after it had been reported stolen from a car dealership on Josiah Gumede Road in Pinetown.
“The vehicle was fitted with a tracker, which led to its recovery during routine stock taking by the dealership manager. No suspects have been identified at this stage. A case of theft of a motor vehicle has been opened at the SAPS Pinetown and the matter remains under investigation,” said Naidu.
