Tattoo studio to raise funds for Highway Hospice
Highway Hospice has partnered with a tattoo studio that will see tattoo proceeds supporting palliative care services.
THE Highway Hospice has expressed its gratitude for the charity partnership it has formed with a tattoo shop in its fundraising initiative.
In a Facebook post, the hospice said the fundraising drive will be for the month of June, which will see “a significant portion of proceeds from selected tattoos” going towards helping the hospice.
“Whether you’ve been thinking about getting your next piece, supporting a great cause, or both, now is the perfect time to book. Every tattoo done during this campaign will help make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing life-threatening illnesses,” reads the post.
Etienne Louw and Sheldon Shaw, the co-owners of Fine Line Tattoo and Piercing, said this is part of their studio’s annual charity fundraiser.
“This year, we are dedicating the entire month of June to raising funds for Highway Hospice,” they said.
Fine Line Tattoo & Piercing will be offering specially priced tattoos throughout June, with proceeds going towards supporting the vital work done by Highway Hospice.
The fundraiser special includes:
- 3x3cm tattoos – R400
- 4x4cm tattoos – R500
- 5x5cm tattoos – R600
- 8x8cm tattoos – R800

“Clients may choose almost any design of their choice, provided the tattoos are simple line work or black-and-grey designs, with minimal shading for the larger 8x8cm option.
“We have always believed that business should be about more than just profit. Every year our clients rally behind these charity drives in the most incredible way. This year we wanted to support an organisation that touches so many lives in our community through compassion, care, and dignity,” said Louw and Shaw.
Over the years, Fine Line Tattoo & Piercing has raised significant funds for local charitable causes through creative community-driven fundraising campaigns. The studio hopes this year’s initiative will once again encourage Durban residents to support a meaningful cause while receiving a professionally done tattoo at a special reduced rate.
The fundraiser will run throughout June 2026 at Fine Line Tattoo & Piercing.
