Explore stunning indigenous landscapes, support conservation, and connect with nature at the Indigenous Open Gardens.
FOR 26 years, Indigenous Open Gardens has showcased the beauty and value of indigenous landscapes while promoting environmental stewardship within local communities. Whether you are seeking gardening inspiration, family-friendly outdoor activities, or simply a relaxing day immersed in nature, this year’s event promises something for everyone.

Nature lovers, gardening enthusiasts, and families are invited to experience the beauty of indigenous gardening as the Indigenous Open Gardens event celebrates its 26th anniversary.
Hosted by Kloof Conservancy, this much-anticipated annual event offers visitors the opportunity to explore some of the region’s most inspiring indigenous gardens while supporting important environmental conservation initiatives.

Taking place over two days, from 09:00 to 16:00 on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21, the event showcases seven unique gardens across Kloof, Gillitts, and Assagay.
All funds raised during the event will go directly towards conservation and environmental projects undertaken by Kloof Conservancy.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of attractions throughout the weekend, including indigenous plant sales, garden ornaments, food and refreshments, and opportunities to engage with local flora, fauna, and conservation specialists.
Coffee will be available at Garden 2, while food and beverages can be enjoyed at Garden 7.

A special highlight for younger visitors is the Struik Nature Treasure Hunt. Designed to encourage children to explore and learn about nature, the treasure hunt costs just R5 per entry, with completed forms entered into a lucky draw for exciting prizes.
Entrance to the Cliffview complex, which includes Gardens 1, 2, and 3, the Common Garden, and the Forest Walk, is available for a donation of R70. Entry to Gardens 4, 5, 6, and 7 requires a donation of R40 per garden. For more information, contact Kloof Conservancy at info@kloofconservancy.org.za. Children under the age of 12 enjoy free admission.

Visitors should note that a single entry form covers all three Cliffview gardens, while separate entry forms are required for Gardens 4, 5, 6, and 7. Toilet facilities are available at Garden 7, and payments can be made using cash or Zapper.
