Man fatally gunned down in Pinetown

Paramedics say they responded to the scene just before 8.00 where a vehicle riddled with bullets was found on a driveway.

A MAN believed to be in his 40s was reportedly fatally gunned down in Pinetown just before 08.00 on Wednesday (June 24) morning.

ALS Paramedics Garrith Jamieson said the emergency service and police were at the scene on Roosevelt Road in the Padfield Park area in Pinetown.

According to Jamieson, it is suspected that the man was allegedly shot multiple times whilst exiting his driveway.

The eThekwini District SAPS spokesperson, Captain Carmen Rhynes, confirmed the shooting.

“The motive for the attack is unknown. A case of murder will be investigated by Pinetown SAPS,” said Rhynes.
