Durban mayor hands over houses at KwaDabeka

Mayor Cyril Xaba says providing adequate housing for residents remains a priority for the eThekwini Municipality.

ETHEKWINI Municipality Mayor Cyril Xaba on Thursday (September 18) handed over houses in Ward 22 (KwaDabeka).

Xaba emphasised that providing adequate housing remains the city’s top priority to restore dignity to its residents.

The mayor then proceeded to conduct an oversight inspection at the Kloof Extensions 15 and 21 Housing Project before addressing residents at a community engagement session at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium.

In his address, Xaba outlined plans to increase investment in the western region of the city to create job opportunities for local communities. 

“We continue to attract investments into the city because we understand that when the economy grows, families are able to put food on the table,” he said.
