EDITOR – My friend and I got lost trying to find our way to the Premier Hotel in Pinetown on Tuesday evening, 14 April. It was getting dark and I didn’t have a map, so I stopped at a Shell garage to ask for directions.
There was a small red car next to us (a Renault Clio, I think) and I approached the driver to ask for directions, which seemed to be quite involved. When I went to get pen and paper to write them down, the driver called to me and said not to worry, that he and his friend would take us there. It was much further away than I realised, but we were taken all the way safely inside the gate of the hotel.
