Thanks for helping when child went missing

"I got a frantic call from my husband to say that our five-year-old daughter had gone missing from our house in Hatton Estate."

EDITOR – I just want to say thank you to all the people that helped me yesterday (12 November), which started as a horror and ended in a bit of a sigh, tears and a laugh.

I got a frantic call from my husband to say that our five-year-old daughter had gone missing from our house in Hatton Estate.

Needless to say, I was overwhelmed with shock, phoned the police and rushed home to find so many people outside my gate already getting info to help search.

My husband spoke to Graig Gallery, who is so well-connected and got so many neighbourhood watch volunteers to help look. While we screamed and looked in the yard and every corner of the house, they searched the roads.

I eventually found her under some blankets, where she had been hiding from her big sister and fell asleep. Now this story had a funny and happy ending, but could’ve easily not been so happy.

To all those nameless people who took the time to look for our little girl, to my sister in-law, Belinda, who rushed to get me home and to Craig Gallery – a really big thank you from me and my precious family. God bless you.
