EDITOR – While I would love to see Lahee Park restored to its old glory for everyone to enjoy, it will prove to be a waste of money and time.
There are too many South Africans who have no pride in our country or themselves to care about the many amenities provided, which were all at some time safe and in beautiful condition. What a shame!
Further, regarding the New Germany Nature Reserve fencing, I feel it is up to the municipality to see that this is repaired in such a way as to prohibit the undesirables to get through and not the public, who again and again step in because of the mismanagement and lack of service delivery.
The municipality relies on our frustration knowing full well that there will sooner or later be someone from the public sector who will step in to do what is rightfully its duty – such as the very kind Steve Dias.
