EDITOR – Thank you to the new operators of Ithuba National Lotto for the good that you do, it is always appreciated by all those who benefit from your donations.
Shame on you though for the increases per line that one has to pay now for Lotto and Powerball. A majority of the people who play Lotto/Powerball are those who with the few coins they are able to rake up, do so in the hopes of a life-changing win. Some play lotto even with the Rands they were to buy a little bread with.
It would seem that it is just a matter of greed as I don’t see the so-called benefits to the poor guy using his last couple of Rands to purchase a line or two. Maybe Ithuba could explain something we don’t know. How about starting a smaller lotto as well, like the first KZN Lotto, which was a 6/36 game where there were many more winners. Even though smaller, but exciting.
