Blowing a fuse about incompetency

Residents are confused about how the Durban's Electricity Department thumbsucks the estimates.

I WRITE this letter with a measure of frustration, because of the lazy, inefficient, narcissistic, not to mention, arrogant attitude of the Durban electricity department.

I find it incomprehensible that the meter in our complex of 12 units hasn’t been read for nearly a year.

I mean, what is going on here?

Then, they have the audacity to put us under pressure to pay the ridiculous amounts based on “estimated consumption”.

Our consumption used to average around R1400 per month, now we get bills with thumb-suck figures of over R6000?

To add insult to injury, we attempt to phone the department, but do you think anyone has the decency to answer?

Not a damn.

Really, this place has gone backwards in my estimation.
