I REFER to the letters, The Australian Nightmare and Country is going down, that’s why I’m going down under.
In this day and age, no country can claim to be a land of milk and honey.
Sure some are better than others, but the world is over populated and demand for resources is starting to outstrip supply.
Sydney, Melbourne and Perth now make use of desalination plants because it has run out of fresh water supplies for its population. Some cities in this country may soon follow.
It has come as quite a revelation that the Australian economy is being propped up by immigration. I too have done some research and have come up with the following references:
High immigration masks Australian economic decline ABC News 18 Jan 2017, Australian economic luck looks to be running out SMH Business 4 Oct 2017 and Australia’s skilled migration is a big con APRI Report 13 March 2018.
To say that crime is only confined to South Africa is not correct.
It is interesting to note that it is a global problem and Australia is not exempt from this: Mother and child threatened in another home invasion Melbourne’ The Age 27 Feb 2018.
Interesting, South African migration to Australia in terms of numbers is miniscule when compared to other countries and barely make up 2.4 per cent of people entering.
The biggest countries are UK, China, New Zealand, Vietnam, India and Italy.
Emigration is a personal thing. Both South Africa and Australia are great countries but both do have problems.
I think I will stay
