Maiden victory for Jonck in golfing tourney
Ettiene Jonck claimed first place in the A division.
ETTIENE Jonck, from Richard’s Bay, claimed his maiden victory in the final leg of the Glacier by Sanlam Junior golf Series Tournament in KZN.
The event hosted at Cotswold Downs, saw Jonck, a late entry into the tournament, signed for a solid level-par 72 to win the A Division of the PGA of South Africa-sponsored tournament by two strokes.
Ben Botha, a member of Kloof Country Club and the winner of A Division in the Papwa Sewgolum Tournament at Durban Country Club in July, took third place.Winner of the C Division in the Papwa Sewgolum Tournament, Siyabonga Dube kept up his good form to finish of third.
