Chanel leaps to new heights

Kloof High School pupil, Chanel Stone, will compete in the World Youth Olympics later this year.

CHANEL Stone, a pupil at Kloof High School, has continued to challenge her best jump as she sets the bar higher at every event.

She recently competed in an invitational event in February, in which the top 10 schools participated, and was placed first overall in the high jump event with a jump of 1.76m.

Chanel only starts jumping at 1.55m, her practice height, and conserves her energy in this way.

Chanel has travelled throughout South Africa to compete at different events and has won gold in four lines; SA Government Schools, SA Christian Schools, SA Clubs and SA

Leagues. She has now qualified for the World Youth Olympics, which takes place in Nanjing, China later this year.
