Chad rakes in the medals at Commonwealth games
Local lad, Chad Le Clos continues to do us proud, winning a host of medals at this year's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
DURBAN’S golden boy, and world renowned swimmer, Chad Le Clos, recently made waves for the country with his sterling performance at the recent Commonwealth Games.
He took home the gold in the men’s 100m butterfly in a time of 51.29 seconds, a Commonwealth Games record.
He also took part in the men’s 200m butterfly and nabbed a gold medal and in the 50m butterfly race he took home a bronze medal.
Shortly after winning a gold medal, Chad Le Clos took to his Twitter account:

His personal Facebook account and Twitter feed was abuzz with both well wishes and congratulations for his achievement at this year’s Commonwealth Games.

At the time of publication the South African team had racked up a tally of nine gold medals, seven silver medals, eight bronze medals and had been ranked fourth in the prestigious sporting event.
