Raise your sails for Jes Foord foundation

If you are unable to enter the Jes Foord Sailing Classic fundraiser, make your way on down to Inanda Dam as one of the spectators.

THE 1000 Hills Sailings Club will host the fourth Jes Foord Sailing Classic at Inanda Dam on Saturday 23 August.

The day is dedicated to sailing for the Foundation and it is open to all yachtsmen and boat owners and will take the form of a fun regatta.

It is set to be a perfect day for the whole family to enjoy as it will take place at Inanda Dam, one of KZN’s beautiful dams. The Skippers briefing will commence at 9.45am and, depending on the wind, the first race is estimated to begin at 10.15am.

“As it’s women’s month, the men will take care of lunch and braai facilities available,” said Norman Parker, one of the organisers of the event.

The entry fee for the day will be R180 for a crew of two or R75 for a one man crew. The cost includes SAS fees and entry into a lucky draw. The prize giving will be handled by Jes Foord at 3.30pm. Spectators are welcome. Contact Norman Parker on 079 886 8950 or Rob Howe on 083 789 3485.
