PDAC hosts annual race for charity

The PDAC would like to advise Highway residents of the race so that they are aware that there will be delays if they will be travelling on Sunday morning, 25 January.

THIS Sunday, 25 January will see the the annual Pinetown and Districts Athletics Club (PDAC) 25km run/walk take place. It will start at 5am sharp from the Waterfall Centre and the finish is at the Lahee Park fields.

Pre-entry can be done at the PDAC clubhouse at the Pinetown Bowling Club on Thursday, 22 January from 5pm to 7pm, and on Saturday from 1pm to 5pm.

Race entries will also be available on the morning of the race from 3.30pm at the start of the race. Race entry is R100, and an extra R25 if a temporary licence is required.

Runners are advised that this will be the last race that they will still be able to run in their 2014 licence numbers. PDAC’s charity of choice for 2015 is The Robin Hood Foundation.

Buses will depart from the PDAC clubhouse side of the Pinecrest Centre from 3.30am and will be on a first come, first served basis.

Payment of R35 per person is to be made directly to the bus driver. Contact 061 069 7384 or email pdacsecretary@gmail.com.

The PDAC would like to advise the Highway residents of the race so that they are aware that there will be delays if they are travelling on that route on Sunday morning.

There will be marshals along the route assisting with directing the traffic, and they would appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding for the duration of the race.
