PINETOWN and District Athletic Club hosted the third time trial of the 2015 New Balance Highway Ladies' League at their running club at Lahee Park on Thursday, 7 May.

There was a fantastic turnout of 147 runners and walkers on the evening. The weather conditions were perfect for the 4km route around Lahee Park. The winning runner on the night was Janie Grundlingh from Westville Athletics Club in a time of 14:18.

The first winning walker home on the night was Zelda Schultz from PDAC in a time of 21:13.

The top three running teams on the night were Westville A, followed by PDAC A and Westville B in third place. The top three walking teams on the night were PDAC A, Highway took second place and third was PDAC B.

Lise Muchna, chairman of PDAC running club, thanked all the sponsors of the Highway Ladies' League, Sportzone and New Balance and all the members of PDAC running club for pulling together on the night to ensure a successful time trial event.

“The Highway Ladies' League is a social league made up of all running clubs in the highway area. The league started 20 years ago and is still going strong.”
