KEARSNEY College’s U18 Rugby 7s team were runners-up at the weekend’s Voortrekker 7s tournament held at the Woodburn Stadium in Pietermaritzburg.

Kearsney started well, beating Northwood A 28-19 in their first pool match. Their remaining two pool matches were against Westville B and Kuswag, which they won 24-0 and 48-12 respectively.

By ending top of their pool, Kearsney played Hilton A in the semi-final. Kearsney had a brilliant first half and didn’t allow Hilton too many opportunities, winning the game 35-26.
