BMX champ brings back the win

Christopher Axford recently went to the USA and competed in the BMX Grand Nationals and won.

KLOOF resident, Christopher Axford (17), competed in the USA at the BMX Grand Nationals in Tulsa Oklahoma where he won the 17-18 Inter Title on 26 November.

Christopher has been riding BMX for only three years, however, his lack of experience is completely outweighed by his sheer determination and passion for the sport. Locally, he is supported by his family and sponsors ABM Insurance Brokers, Refresh Energy Drinks, Gazebo World, Thor and Box Components.

When asked about this race he said: “It still doesn’t feel real. I had nothing to lose and gave it my all. I had a good gate and just stayed out front from the beginning.”

His next goal is to go to the BMX Worlds in Baku in June 2018 and to compete in more races internationally.
