Curro Hillcrest High dominates at gala

The school held onto their title as they claimed the top spot at the A-league co-ed swimming gala.

THE top Durban and Districts co-ed schools descended on Kings Park Swimming Pool for the annual A-league swimming gala.

The mood was electric as the swimmers from 10 co-ed schools took to the starting blocks to compete against each other.

Curro Hillcrest, who were the defending champions, as well as the host of the 2018 event did not disappoint.

“Our swimmers won 18 of the 26 events and set new records in eight events,” said the school’s marketing manager, Fiona Johnson.

“Well done to the Aquazone Club coaching staff, residents at the school’s 50m heated pool for their commitment to the school’s squad. We are looking forward to many more years at the top of the A-league of co-ed schools,” she said.
