Slamming success for Hillcrest’s Guy
Guy Vorwerk will represent South Africa and hopes to be chosen to compete in the African Junior Teams' Champs in Morocco later this year.
AVID tennis player and member of the Hillcrest Tennis Club, Guy Vorwerk, was excited to be selected to represent South Africa at the second edition of the IFT/CAT U12 Southern African Junior Teams’ Championships in Bulawayo in March.
Guy is currently ranked as number 1 in KZN for U13 and as number 2 for Tennis South Africa for U12.
The Winston Park Primary School learner took advantage of his holiday break to fit in extra training sessions and took part in the Boland and Western Province Growthpoint Super 8 national tournaments.

He won the singles in both events, the doubles in both events and won the mixed in Boland and was the runner up in the Western Province event.
Early this year he took part in the Pretoria Growthpoint Super 8 where he was the runner up in the singles and won the doubles and mixed games.
