Throw your support behind high school soccer tourney

Each game is only eight minutes long and kick off is at 8.30am on Sunday morning.

SHOW your support for the boys and girls showcasing their football skills at the Energade 5-a-side soccer tournament on Sunday, 2 September at Kloof High School.

This fast-paced matches are only eight minutes long and the teams consist of five players on the field. Eighty teams will go head-to-head as they vie for the coveted first place title.

Numerous schools will be participating, with some as far afield as Port Shepstone High, Eshowe High and Michaelhouse College.

The day kicks off at 8.30am and will feature back-to-back games. If you can’t be there in person to catch the action, you can still watch the games on KloofTV, where all the games will be live streamed.

The event’s organiser, Bobby Deutschman, said, “We are very excited to be hosting this event again for the 18th year, at Kloof High for the first time. We are sure to experience some action-packed games featuring some up and coming talent at school level throughout KZN.”

He thanked sponsors Energade, Umbro and Primo. “Without them, this event wouldn’t have been possible!”

Various fields have also been sponsored by Satin Candy, Sharks Football Academy and Stick and Lick. There are still a few more fields available for sponsorship. To sponsor a field, contact Bobby Deutschman on 082 458 9379.

Food and soft drinks will be available from a number of different vendors on the day.
