Tennis stars ace tourney
The Hillcrest tennis stars snapped up podium finishes at the recent tournament in Pietermaritzburg.
A HANDFUL of talented tennis stars from Tennis Plus in Hillcrest recently put their skills to the test at the PMB Umgungundlovu Tournament at Kershaw Tennis Stadium recently.
Kade Mindry, from Kearsney College, was the men’s singles and men’s doubles winner. Courtney Fyvie, of St Mary’s DSG, was the women’s singles winner and runner-up in the women’s doubles. Kiara Mackay, from St Mary’s DSG, took third place in the women’s singles and won the women’s doubles.

Ashtyn Cason, of Thomas More College, took third place in the girls’ U14 singles. Matt Wilson, from Winston Park Primary School, was a runner-up in the boys’ U12 singles and doubles.
Taryn Nadler, of St Mary’s DSG, won the girls’ U12 singles winner and a semi-finalist in the U12 doubles. Keira Naidoo was a runner-up in the girls’ U12 singles and doubles while Matt Shaw from Howick Hich was a men’s singles finalist.
