Triple gold for Hillcrest vaulter

The Hillcrest Primary School learner recently represented South Africa in the Tri-Nations Vaulting Cup and claimed second place overall.

HILLCREST resident and talented rider, Callum Flanagan, recently claimed three golds at the Tri-Nations Vaulting Cup in Mauritius alongside the South African Equestrian vaulting team.

The Hillcrest Primary School learner, and a student at the Oak Ridge Vaulting School, was chosen to compete in the show during October.

South Africa won the Tri-Nations cup in the team category, Mauritius took second place and Zimbabwe claimed third place.

Callum won the individual C-grade category and topped the podium in three other events and took second place overall.

This is the second time the 12-year-old has been chosen to represent South Africa at an international show.
