Highbury’s ‘Aquaman’ is making waves
Luca Sandri broke six records for the open age group.

HIGHBURY’s Luca Sandri’s hard work and dedication paid off as he broke six school records in the Highbury Senior Primary Swimming Gala at the beginning of this year.
Luca is nicknamed ‘Aquaman’ by his friends, and rightfully so. Throughout his time at Highbury, Luca has been achieving excellence in his swimming career and was named Swimming Captain for 2020.
His coach, Nick Grey, said Luca is committed to his swimming training and trains throughout the year and has been swimming since he was two years old. “Luca is a talented swimmer. He’s a well-mannered boy and gives it everything he’s got when he competes,” said Grey.
His mom, Kim said they are extremely proud of Luca’s achievement at the Highbury Inter-House Gala. “He was hopeful that he may be able to break the six records for the open age group and we are very happy for him to have achieved his goal,” said his mom.
