Women set to converge for Women’s Month

Women are invited to experience a day of wellness in celebration of Women’s month.

THE Wyebank Hindu Temple Women’s Forum is calling on women from the Upper Highway area to join them for their wellness day in celebration of Women’s Month.

The women’s forum is a group of ladies who have dedicated themselves to participate and take a more active role in the community through cultural, social , religious and educational workshops and activities.

With wellness day coming up, the forum will be hosting ladies from the age of 16 in the Upper Highway area on a programme that is aimed to raise awareness in women’s health.

The programme will be covering topics such as women’s health, mental/emotional health, depression anxiety, palliative care, holistic healing and yoga.

The topics will be headed by professionals.
Furthermore, there will be free breast cancer screening for the first 100 women.

Venessa Pillay who is part of the forum said they are looking forward to hosting women and it makes it more interesting as the event is planned by other women.”The aim of the wellness day is to encourage women in our forum to play roles in the community. It is also to bring women of different religions and cultures together,” she said.

The wellness day will be taking place on August 19 from 13:00 to 16:00 at the Wyebank Temple Hall – 23 Temple Road Wyebank.

Entry is free and refreshment will be served.
