Westville Junior Primary School – The foundation to success

Westville Junior Primary School is a Foundation Phase school in the centre of Westville. As a school that strives to fulfil our motto “building strong foundations”, we have always ensured the needs of the learners are our priority. We offer Grades R–3 as well as remedial classes.

The remedial model that Westville Junior Primary School adopted is the ‘inclusive approach’. The inclusive approach is one where the learners stay within the existing mainstream school environment, but within a remedial classroom forming part of a remedial unit where their particular difficulties can be addressed. Their classroom environment can be tailored to provide them with all the opportunities they need to apply the skills they have learnt.

Selecting the right school for your child is a very important decision. At Westville Junior Primary School we take great pride in providing a rich and rewarding experience for our learners.

We adopt a holistic approach in which we emphasise a balance between the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of each learner. WJPS encourages learners to maintain a balance between Academics, Sports and Culture. We promote the development of self-worth, mutual respect and pride in the school.

When you choose Westville Junior Primary School for your child’s Grades R to 3 journeys, you are choosing more than just a school; you are choosing a foundation that will set them on a path to lifelong success and fulfilment. Join us in building strong foundations for our future leaders and innovators.
