Two women and seven-month-old baby stabbed to death

Two suspects, aged between 20 and 30, were arrested on the afternoon of Thursday, December 11, in Silumaview, Vosloorus, for the murder of two women aged between 20 and 22, and a seven-month-old baby.

According to the Katlehong SAPS’s Capt. Mega Ndobe, the accused went to the house at Silumaview where two women and the baby were inside.

The suspects are alleged to have attacked the women and the baby with knives, before dumping their lifeless bodies in a bath full of water.

A fourth victim who was apparently outside the house when the attack took place, was also violently attacked and left with two knife wounds on her upper body.

The motive of the attack is at this stage still unknown.

The community of Silumaview, however, managed to corner the suspects before they disappeared from the scene and handed them over to the police.

When the police arrived, the suspects had been severely assaulted by members of the community.

Paramedics who arrived at the scene afterwards declared the two women and the baby inside the house dead, while the fourth victim was taken to hospital with stab wounds on the upper body.

Both suspects were also taken to hospital under police guard.

Two firearm magazines were found from the suspects with 11 rounds of ammunition. A knife, believed to be the one used in the killings, was also found on the premises. Both suspects have charged with murder and attempted murder. The investigation continues.
