Vosloorus SAPS arrests 33 suspects in seven days

Communications officer at Vosloorus Police Station Capt Piet Rossouw said the suspects were arrested for various offences.

Vosloorus SAPS made 33 arrests during the week of October 8 to 14.

Communications officer at Vosloorus Police Station Capt Piet Rossouw said the suspects were arrested for assault common (domestic violence-related) and three were arrested after their warrants of arrest were issued.

“Four were arrested for drinking in public, four for being found drunk in public, six for shoplifting and one for attempted hijacking,” said Rossouw.

“One suspect was arrested for the pointing of a firearm, two for theft, eight for driving under the influence of alcohol and one for house break-in and theft.”
