Business roadshow destined for Katlehong

On the day, there will also be activities like sports and dance performances by the youth of Moshoeshoe Section, Katlehong.

The upcoming third Ekurhuleni Nafcoc Business Round Table and Expo (NBRTE) roadshow will be on April 27 at De Bryne School grounds, Moshoeshoe Section, Katlehong.

NBRTE is an empowerment programme that assists formal and informal enterprises to realign and control the current township markets and prepare local entrepreneurs to reclaim the local economy through the Township Economic Development Act.

According to Maki Kganyago from Katlehong Moshoeshoe Gardening Services and Recycling, the community is thrilled to host such an event.

She said they want their businesses to grow and hope Nafcoc Ekurhuleni will connect them to new clients and sponsors.

“This an important initiative because it teaches us independence. We need political government people to understand that we are the government, and we should learn to help each other,” said Kganyago.

She said she was impressed during the second NBRTE roadshow at Wendy’s Food and Refreshment, 7400 Tzoko Cresent, Ext 9, Marimba Gardens, Vosloorus, on March 6.

“Nafcoc is willing to help businesses grow from the ground and give people hope. They are welcoming and friendly people. At the last event, there were stakeholders from Family Tree Holdings, who assisted businesses with funding and others who assisted with business registration.

“We want the community to benefit from business knowledge and our unemployed to hear about the opportunities available from stakeholders like MTN.

Kathorus MAIL will also be present to offer business community information regarding advertising space to help promote local businesses,” she noted.

The Nafcoc family, various stakeholders and the Kathorus community are invited to celebrate Freedom Day with the Moshoeshoe community on April 27.

The NBRTE programme is a Nafcoc resolution adopted during the National Elective Conference held on September 27, 2023, at Sunnyside Sandton, Johannesburg.
