Residents of Zonkizizwe and Katlehong have been notified that waste removal services have been disrupted due to unforeseen public instability.

As a result, waste collection in these areas has not taken place.

According to the city, efforts are underway to restore services as soon as possible.

“The City of Ekurhuleni is working around the clock to ensure that services are normalised. We are engaging with stakeholders to find a solution to the situation. The city appeals for patience from affected residents while resolving the situation,” said spokesperson Zweli Dlamini.
